These days are hot and really long... Colorful hyperactive days!!! wonderful gardens, traditional wooden yachts and boats, summer cars, lots of cycles and.. people around!!! just great!!
From May 16 to June 13, 2010 on Sundays , some private gardens in Loviisa (11 in total) open their gates to visitors and welcome them to enjoy the blooming flowers. Worth to visit!
Photo: Ruth Landesa. . .I post today some photos of the hand-printed textiles of Kauniste , a young Finnish company based in Helsinki. Their designs , by Leena Kisonen and Matti Pikkujämsä, are inspired by the Finnish kitchen linens from 60′s and 70′ s.

A perfect place to seat and enjoy…….isn’t it?

Yesterday I went to the opening of Leena and Taisto’s small, cozy and unique Café “Tuhannen Tuskan Kahvila” placed where the stables of their beautiful wooden house, Liisantalo, were formerly. The building, one of the” Old Houses” (“Vanhat Talot “) of Loviisa, is a traditional Finnish wooden house restored by them with lots of work and love…
And, I met there some common friends. We all enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere, Leena’s pastries and Taisto’s art works…
