Österstjernan

The Österstjernan packet yacht is a wonderful replica of the sailing ship which sailed between Loviisa and Stockholm in the 19th century. Is the first yacht to arrive to Loviisa harbor in Spring and the last one to leave when the cold season starts. More info on the boat, photos, reservations, sailings etc… here.

The Small Ships Race is a wonderful event we celebrate in my “Small City” every Summer. It is a sailing race of classic wonderful wooden ships. This summer it takes place this weekend… I really hope the temperatures go down a little… It is still so hot!

Last Sunday I visited the Café “Kuninkaan Lampi” ….placed in the “Wonderful Garden” !!!! It was opened for the event “The King Comes to Loviisa” and it will be open next time in August, 28th and 29th, for the event “Loviisan Wanhat Talot”. Then it will be also possible to visit the owners house with a great interior decoration.
